Our Personal Tax work is continually growing with lots of varied and interesting opportunities, and as a result of this, we are looking to grow and develop our Personal Tax Team with the addition of a Personal Tax Senior. We are looking to recruit a talented Full Time Payroll Senior to join our busy and expanding Payroll Services team in our Exmouth Office situated in a superb seafront location. You would be joining a Payroll Services team of five in a role that combines running client payrolls, pension administration and all other aspects of providing payroll services. You will be working within a fast-paced environment where you will need to be able to perform well under pressure and be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills. Our Payroll Services team provides a seamless and efficient service to an expanding client base across Devon and the South West. The Full Time Payroll Senior will play a key part in the day-to-day running of monthly and weekly client payrolls and the overall development of our bureau.

We are looking for someone with previous payroll administration experience gained from within either an in-house or a bureau environment to join our thriving Payroll Services team. A minimum of 3 years’ payroll administration experience is essential.
You must have strong end to end processing experience.
You will have a track record of successfully coaching and mentoring individuals within a payroll environment.
You will have excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
You will have strong keyboard and IT skills and will be a confident user of Microsoft Excel.
You will have experience of identifying and recommending process improvements.
A working knowledge of Sage Payroll software is essential. Xero payroll experience is desirable.

You may also be required to prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts for some clients.
The Person:
To be considered for this role you should have recent relevant experience of bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns, ideally having worked in a busy practice environment, working with tight deadlines.
You will have a good working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, Quick Books etc. You will mainly be using Xero and ideally will be well versed in its functionality, but if not, full training can be provided. Experience of MTD implementation would be desirable.
It is desirable that you will be AAT, IAB or ICB qualified or part qualified, although qualification by experience will be considered. You must have good attention to detail and be able to work independently.
