The role:
We are looking to recruit a Full Time Audit Senior (although a minimum of 30 hours per week would be considered) to join our busy and growing Audit Services team. Our team provides a seamless and efficient service to an interesting and expanding client base of businesses covering a wide variety of sectors across Devon, the South West and further afield. There is scope to develop in this role over time and full training and support will be offered to the right person to enable them to achieve this. Your day to day responsibilities will include:
You may also be required to prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts for some clients.
The Person:
To be considered for this role you should have recent relevant experience of bookkeeping and preparation of VAT returns, ideally having worked in a busy practice environment, working with tight deadlines.
You will have a good working knowledge of accounting software, including Sage, Quick Books etc. You will mainly be using Xero and ideally will be well versed in its functionality, but if not, full training can be provided. Experience of MTD implementation would be desirable.
It is desirable that you will be AAT, IAB or ICB qualified or part qualified (to a minimum of AAT Level 3 or equivalent), although qualification by experience will be considered. You must have good attention to detail and be able to work independently.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, has a willingness to learn and can pick things up quickly, to join our thriving Bookkeeping team.
You must able to work effectively as part of a team, have a proactive nature with a willingness to work hard and a ‘can do’ attitude.

The role:
We are looking to recruit a Full Time Corporate Services Junior Manager in our Exmouth Office situated in a superb seafront location. In this role you would be involved in managing and providing advisory services to a portfolio of clients including sole-traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
· Planning and reviewing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
· Setting budgets for staff, providing assistance and mentoring support to junior members of staff
· Liaising with clients over accounts queries and finalising financial statements
· Preparing and commenting on management accounts
· Meeting with clients both virtually and face-to-face
· Undertaking tax and dividend planning for clients
· Providing ad hoc support and advice to clients
· Dealing with everyday correspondence and e-mails and liaising with clients accordingly
· Reviewing VAT returns either prepared by the client or by the bookkeeping team internally
· Reviewing personal tax returns and advising clients on their tax liabilities
· Reviewing corporation tax returns and advising clients on the company’s tax liabilities
· Managing a diverse client portfolio and ensuring deadlines are met
· Client billing
The Person:
This will be the ideal opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career, taking on greater responsibility and more complex work, whilst still having the support to develop their knowledge and skills in a Corporate Services Junior Manager role. It will equally be an ideal opportunity for someone with some Accounts Manager experience.
To be considered for the role you must be either fully qualified ACA/ ACCA.
Knowledge of accounting software such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks experience is desirable as are strong computer and spreadsheet skills. Previous experience with Digita and CCH would be desirable but is not essential.
You must be able to create great working relationships with clients and also be able to provide support with the training and development of junior staff.
We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong organisation skills and who is able to manage their workload in a timely manner.
