The role:

We are looking to recruit a Full Time Audit Senior (although a minimum of 30 hours per week would be considered) to join our busy and growing Audit Services team. This role will be based in our Exeter Office overlooking the magnificent historic quayside or our Exmouth Office situated in a superb seafront location.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking the completion of audits for small and medium size entities including charities and academies in accordance with the International Standards on Auditing.
  • Accurately completing assignments within agreed timescales.
  • Assisting in the mentoring and development of junior staff.

The Person:

You will have a strong background in audit and accounts preparation.

We are ideally looking for someone ACA or ACCA qualified, although someone qualified by experience would be considered.

You will be used to meeting tight deadlines, motivated and have excellent attention to detail.

Personality and excellent communication skills are essential as there will be significant client contact.

The role:

We are looking to recruit a talented Full Time Payroll Services Senior to join our busy and expanding Payroll Services team in our Exmouth Office situated in a superb seafront location. You would be joining a Payroll Services team of five in a role that combines running client payrolls, pension administration and all other aspects of providing payroll services. You will be working within a fast-paced environment where you will need to be able to perform well under pressure and be able to demonstrate excellent time management skills. Our Payroll Services team provides a seamless and efficient service to an expanding client base across Devon and the South West. The Full Time Payroll Services Senior will play a key part in the day-to-day running of monthly and weekly client payrolls and the overall development of our bureau.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the work of payroll administrators, answering any of their queries and ensuring that an excellent level of client service is offered.
  • Liaising with clients to ensure that you have all the information required to run their payrolls, provide auto enrolment services and associated tasks.
  • Dealing with payroll and bank credits.
  • Supporting the Head of Payroll Services.
  • Coaching and mentoring our more junior team members ensuring that they develop into competent payroll administrators.

The Person:

We are looking for someone with previous payroll administration experience gained from within either an in-house or a bureau environment to join our thriving Payroll Services team. A minimum of 3 years’ payroll administration experience is essential.

You must have strong end to end processing experience.

You will have a track record of successfully coaching and mentoring individuals within a payroll environment.

You will have excellent time management skills and attention to detail.

You will have strong keyboard and IT skills and will be a confident user of Microsoft Excel.

You will have experience of identifying and recommending process improvements.

A working knowledge of Sage Payroll software is essential. Xero payroll experience is desirable.

The role:

Our Personal Tax work is continually growing with lots of varied and interesting opportunities. We are looking to recruit a Personal Tax Manager to join our busy and growing team. You will be responsible for looking after and advising individuals on all aspects of personal tax. You will manage a varied portfolio of personal tax clients along with general tax compliance work and tax advice. This is a Full Time role or Part Time role (a minimum of 4 days per week would be considered) based in our Exmouth Office situated in a superb seafront location.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of personal tax returns to include landlords, sole traders, partnerships and company directors.
  • Preparation of income and expenditure accounts for landlords, sole traders and partnerships.
  • Client communication regarding personal tax returns and ad-hoc queries.
  • Consideration of any potential tax planning opportunities alongside compliance work.
  • Liaison with HMRC on various matters relating to clients’ personal tax affairs.
  • Managing a varied portfolio of personal tax clients, including work flow management, reviewing work and providing technical guidance, coaching and mentoring for junior staff.

The Person:

We are looking for someone with significant experience in personal tax, gained from working within an accountancy practice, to join our thriving Personal Tax team.

You will have experience of managing a varied portfolio of clients.

To be considered for this role you must be ACA, ACCA, ATT or CTA qualified.

You will have strong leadership and team management skills.

You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships by communicating effectively at all levels with colleagues and clients.

You will have a strong track record of Tax CPD and a high level of current legislation knowledge.

Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team are essential for this role. You will be able to effectively manage multiple deadlines and tasks.

You will have excellent keyboard and IT skills and software capability and a track record of successfully coaching and mentoring individuals.
